We are still finalizing our record rules and need some more days before we come up with the final draft. In the meantime you can upload two GT-31 tracks with the right settings as explained on the news section. If you expect truly high speeds please also make sure to announce an attempt and send an e-mail to the tech crew. You can do so by contacting roger van Tongeren, our head timekeeper: roger at gps-speedurfing dot com.
There has been some international confusion because of the Vesta Sailrocket Trimble test against a GT-11. We want to clearly state only the GT-31 with the right setttings are allowed.
Apart from the fact comparisons between Trimble and GT-11 cannot be taken seriously by us we want to plead for an open presentation of Trimble data vs GT-31 data with the right settings. We note the WSSRC doesn't openly share GPS data.
Using the right calculation method and control mechanisms to see if a run is valid or not is extremely important. Sharing technical info with the public and a presentation to show steps which have been taken to ensure the record was set in a fair way and according to standing rules needs to be a key factor in any modern Record Hunt based on GPS data.
